Information We Collect

• Birth Month and Year: Used only to calculate age within the app. Not stored beyond what is necessary for this calculation.
• Exercise Metrics: Heart rate, calories, duration, speed, power, elevation, distance, cadence.
• No Location Data: The app does not collect GPS or precise location information.

How Data Is Used

• Exercise data is processed in real-time to provide workout metrics during your activity.
• Data is written to Health Connect on your device for storage and sharing with other apps you authorize.
• By default, no data is sent outside your device. External sync (e.g., Strava) is optional and user-controlled.

Health Connect

FTMS Workout writes exercise session data to Health Connect on your Android phone. You control which apps may access this data, and you may revoke access or delete data at any time through the Health Connect app.

Strava Integration (Optional)

Strava sync is disabled by default. If you choose to enable it, the app uploads a FIT file containing complete activity data, including charts and time series, to your Strava account. Uploads occur only after you explicitly authorize Strava through their OAuth process. You may revoke this authorization at any time in Strava’s settings.

Website Analytics

Our website (abscreations.netlify.app) uses:

• Cloudflare Web Analytics (via beacon) to understand download counts and country of origin.
• Netlify download tracker for anonymous statistics when you click tracked download links.

No cookies or personal identifiers are set by these trackers.

User Controls

• All permissions (Health Connect, sensors, Strava) are granted or denied by you.
• There are no user accounts within the app.
• You may delete app data at any time from your device, revoke Health Connect access, and disconnect Strava.

Data Storage and Retention

Data remains on your device unless you choose to share it. Exercise data in Health Connect is retained until you delete it. We do not operate any central servers to store your activity data.

Data Sharing

• Strava: If enabled, activity files are shared directly with Strava (USA).
• Other Apps: Access to Health Connect data is controlled by you.
• We do not share or sell personal information for advertising or marketing.

Security

• All data remains on-device unless explicitly shared by you.
• Communication with Strava is encrypted in transit using HTTPS.
• No long-term server storage is maintained by Absolute Bollocks Creations.

International Data Transfers

If you choose to sync with Strava, your data will be processed in the United States under Strava’s privacy policy. We do not otherwise transfer your personal data internationally.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including GDPR, UK GDPR, and U.S. state privacy laws), you may have rights to:

• Access and receive a copy of your data
• Request correction or deletion
• Withdraw consent for processing (e.g., revoke Health Connect or Strava access)
• Object to processing where permitted by law

Children’s Privacy

FTMS Workout does not set a minimum age requirement, but we recommend parental supervision for younger users due to the health-related nature of the app.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website at abscreations.netlify.app/privacy. We do not send notifications directly, as no user accounts or contact information are collected.
