Privacy Policy
Effective Date: November 24, 2025
This Privacy Policy applies to FitBridge by Absolute Bollocks Creations (abscreations.netlify.app). FitBridge is a local Bluetooth “bridge” application that connects to your fitness equipment and re-broadcasts workout metrics to your own devices (for example, a watch or bike computer). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about how your data is used.

What FitBridge Does
FitBridge runs on your Android device and connects to compatible fitness machines and sensors (for example, FTMS treadmills, bikes, ellipticals, rowers, and heart rate straps) using Bluetooth. It then exposes a virtual Bluetooth service (such as FTMS, Cycling Speed & Cadence, or Cycling Power) so that another device you control (such as a Garmin watch, bike computer, or another app) can receive the same workout data as if it were directly paired to the machine.
Information We Collect and Process
FitBridge does not create online accounts, does not require personal registration, and does not upload your workout data to servers operated by Absolute Bollocks Creations.
- Exercise and Sensor Metrics: While running, FitBridge reads and processes data made available by your connected fitness device(s), such as: heart rate, calories, duration, speed, power, resistance, incline, elevation, distance, cadence, steps, strokes, and similar machine-provided fields.
- Bluetooth Device Information: Device names, IDs, and related technical identifiers are used only to discover, connect, and reconnect to your machines and sensors. This information remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers (we do not operate any).
- App Configuration Data: Settings such as preferred units (metric/imperial), heart rate zone settings, notification intervals, and last-selected devices are stored locally on your device in app storage or shared preferences.
- No GPS / Precise Location: FitBridge does not request or use GPS or other precise location services. Distance values come from your fitness device, not from GPS.
How Data Is Used
- To provide real-time workout metrics to you and to the paired client device (for example, a watch or bike computer) over Bluetooth.
- To display current and recent metrics inside the FitBridge user interface while the app is running.
- To remember your preferred devices and configuration so that future sessions are easier to start (for example, auto-reconnecting to your last-used machine).
- In some cases, to write optional debug logs on-device that help diagnose Bluetooth or compatibility issues. These logs remain on your device unless you choose to export and share them with us.
On-Device Only by Default
By default, FitBridge operates entirely on your device and over local Bluetooth connections. We do not run any backend servers for FitBridge and do not automatically send your workout data to Absolute Bollocks Creations or third-party cloud services.
Connections to Other Apps and Devices
FitBridge is designed to make your fitness machine appear as a standard Bluetooth sensor to another device you control. Examples include:
- A Garmin watch or bike computer
- Another fitness app on the same or a different device
- Any compatible head unit that supports FTMS, CSC, or Cycling Power profiles
Once data has been transmitted to such a device, it is handled according to that device’s and app’s own privacy policy. For example, your watch or bike computer may sync data to its own cloud service (such as Garmin Connect, Strava, etc.). Absolute Bollocks Creations does not control these services and is not responsible for their handling of your data.
Website Analytics
Our website (abscreations.netlify.app) may be used to provide information and downloads for FitBridge. The site uses:
- Cloudflare Web Analytics (via beacon) to understand page views, download counts, and approximate country of origin.
- Netlify download tracking for anonymous statistics when you click certain tracked download links.
These tools are designed to be lightweight and privacy-friendly. No cookies or personal identifiers are set by these trackers.
User Controls
- You control which fitness devices and sensors FitBridge connects to.
- You control which external device (watch, bike computer, app) pairs to FitBridge’s virtual sensors and receives your workout data.
- You can revoke Bluetooth permissions for FitBridge in your device’s system settings.
- You may stop advertising, disconnect devices, or close the app at any time to stop data transmission.
- You may delete FitBridge and its local data from your device at any time via the system app-management screen.
Data Storage and Retention
FitBridge does not maintain long-term, server-side storage of your workout data. Data related to your workouts is:
- Processed in real time for the duration of the session.
- Transmitted over Bluetooth to your chosen client device, which may store it according to its own policies.
- Stored locally only as necessary for functionality (for example, recent metrics on-screen, device preferences, and optional debug logs).
You may clear app data or uninstall FitBridge to remove locally stored configuration and logs.
Data Sharing
- Client Devices (e.g., watches, bike computers, other apps): By design, FitBridge shares your workout metrics via Bluetooth with whatever device you pair to it. Those devices may then sync data to their own services.
- Support Logs (Optional): If you choose to export logs to help diagnose a problem, those logs may contain technical details such as device names, Bluetooth IDs, and sample metrics. You choose how and with whom to share these logs (for example, by email).
- We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising or marketing.
Security
- All workout data handled by FitBridge is processed locally on your device and transmitted only over Bluetooth connections you initiate.
- We do not operate remote servers for FitBridge and therefore do not maintain remote databases of your workouts.
- We encourage you to keep your device’s operating system and firmware updated to benefit from the latest security protections provided by your device manufacturer and platform provider.
International Data Transfers
Absolute Bollocks Creations does not itself transfer your workout data internationally because we do not operate cloud storage for FitBridge. However, any device or service you connect to via FitBridge (for example, a watch that syncs to its own cloud service) may transfer data across borders. Those transfers are governed by the privacy policies of the respective manufacturers and service providers.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including GDPR, UK GDPR, and applicable U.S. state privacy laws), you may have rights to:
- Access and receive a copy of personal data held about you.
- Request correction or deletion of data where appropriate.
- Withdraw consent for optional processing, such as revoking Bluetooth permissions or stopping use of FitBridge.
- Object to certain types of processing where permitted by law.
Because FitBridge does not maintain user accounts or cloud storage, many of these rights are exercised directly through your device (for example, uninstalling the app, clearing app data, or revoking permissions). If you have questions, you can contact us at absolutebollockscreations@gmail.com.
Children’s Privacy
FitBridge does not set a strict minimum age requirement, but it is intended for use by adults or with adult supervision due to the health and exercise nature of the app. We do not knowingly collect online contact information or create accounts for children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as FitBridge evolves or as legal requirements change. Any updates will be posted on our website at abscreations.netlify.app/privacy.
Because FitBridge does not collect contact information or user account details, we do not send direct notifications of policy changes. Please check this page periodically if you wish to stay informed about our privacy practices.
